Create dynamic
volumes.
Dynamic volumes can include multiple disks and
are used for PSFS filesystems. See “Create a
Dynamic Volume” on page 80.
Create PSFS
filesystems.
Select the dynamic volume to be used for the
filesystem and configure the appropriate options
such as block size and disk quotas. See “Create a
Filesystem” on page 101.
Assign drive letters or
mount paths to
filesystems.
To provide access to a PSFS filesystem, associate it
with a drive letter or a mount path. See “Assign
Drive Letters or Paths” on page 112.
Review snapshot
feature if configured.
If the snapshot feature is configured on the matrix,
review the procedure to create snapshots. See
“Create a Snapshot or Snapclone” on page 135.
Configure MxDB for SQL Server (optional)
Install SQL Server
instances.
Install SQL Server 2005 or 2000 instances. See
“Install SQL Server” in the MxDB for SQL Server
administration guide.
Create Virtual SQL
Servers.
A Virtual SQL Server provides access to Virtual
SQL Instances (virtualized SQL Server instances).
See “Create Virtual SQL Servers” in the MxDB for
SQL Server administration guide.
Add Virtual SQL
instances.
Create Virtual SQL Instances and add them to a
Virtual SQL Server. See “Add a Virtual SQL
Instance” in the MxDB for SQL Server
administration guide.
