3.6.1 HP PolyServe Matrix Server Administration Guide (T5392-96018, August 2008)
Chapter 9: Configure PSFS Filesystems 112
•[--defaultQuotaType <staticdq | dynamicdq>]
With staticdq, the default, quota limits for new users are copied from
the default quota values set for the filesystem. With dynamicdq, the
quota limits are linked from the default quota values. If the default
values are changed, the user’s quota limits are also changed.
•[--sparseFileAccounting <real | virtual>]
How quota accounting for sparse files is managed. real reflects the
actual allocation of filesystem space for the files. virtual reflects the
virtual size of the files. The default is real.
Drive Letters and Mount Paths
To provide access to a PSFS filesystem, you will need to associate it with
a drive letter or a mount path.
Assign Drive Letters or Paths
To assign a drive letter or mount path, select the filesystem on the
Filesystems tab on the PolyServe Management Console, right-click, and
select Assign Path. The assignment is made on all servers in the matrix.
Assign Drive Letter: Matrix Server queries the servers in the matrix to
determine the drive letters that are currently unused on all of the servers.
You can assign any of these drive letters to the filesystem.
NOTE: If, on a matrix server, the drive letter you selected is assigned for
another purpose before the Assign Drive Letter operation is
complete, the affected server will not be able to access the
filesystem via the drive letter. You can remove drive letters and
reassign them as necessary to ensure that all servers can access the
filesystem.
