When you right-click on a virtual SQL instance in the Name column, the
following options, described under “Other Procedures” on page 77, are
available:
Delete – remove the virtual SQL instance.
Properties – modify the configuration of the virtual SQL instance.
Disable/Enable – disable or enable the virtual SQL instance.
If you right-click in a server cell on which the virtual SQL instance is
configured, some additional options are available:
View Last Error – view monitor errors
Clear Last Error – clear monitor errors
Remove from Server – This option should be used only under the
direction of PolyServe Technical Support. See “Remove from Server
Option” on page 81 for more information.
Rehost a Virtual SQL Server
The “Rehost” option can be used to change the primary node for a Virtual
SQL Server.
NOTE: The SQL instances associated with the Virtual SQL Server must be
on their primary node when you perform the rehost operation.
The Rehost option is available on the PolyServe Management Console
and can be accessed using either of these methods:
On the Applications tab, right-click on the Virtual SQL Server (in the
Name column) and then select Rehost. (Or use drag and drop.)
On the Servers or Virtual Hosts tab, locate the Virtual SQL Server,
right-click, and select Rehost.
