Chapter 3: Install SQL Server Instances 30

Instance Name: Type Default for the default instance, or specify the

appropriate name for a named instance.

The IP addresses for the servers in the matrix are listed in the Servers

column. To install the instance on all of the servers, click “Install on all

servers.” When you click “Install on specific servers,” you can select the

servers for the instance.

When you have completed your selections, click Add. The instances to be

created will appear in the table at the bottom of the screen.

Repeat this procedure to add other SQL 2000 instances.

When you have completed your entries, click Install. You will then be

asked whether you want to proceed with the installation.
