Chapter 3: Install SQL Server Instances 16

To create a new product, click Add to open the Add Product dialog and

then supply the following information.

Product Name: Enter a name to identify this product. The name can

contain only alphanumeric characters.

Product Description: Enter anything you want for the description.

Type: The type is always SQL Base Product.

Ve rs i on : Select SQL 2005.

Media Location: Enter the location of the product files (either a PSFS

filesystem or a CIFS share referenced by UNC path) or click Browse to

locate the files.

Click Next on the “Select the Microsoft product to Install” dialog to go to

the next dialog.
