This situation can also occur because interfaces generated their
own addresses automatically. These will all be in the 169.254.0.0
(“zeroconf”) IP subnet. If you want to use these interfaces on an
Ethernet segment with no DHCP server (say, for the clusters
private networks), manually assign addresses in private IP
subnets (for example, 192.168.0.0) to them and/or disable the
extra interfaces.
If multiple interfaces were being used for performance or
availability, use bonding or teaming to make the interfaces look
like a single logical interface to the operating system.
19178 Double quotes in role names require other characters in name
When double quotes are included in the name of a role, the
name should include at least one letter or digit for each double
quote. For example, if there is one double quote in the name,
there should also be at least one letter or digit in the name. If
there are two double quotes, there should be at least two letters
or digits, and so on.
19442 Custom setting for GcTrimLevel should be removed
In previous releases of Matrix Server, there have been
recommendations to add a registry setting for GcTrimLevel to
restrict the amount of Windows pool memory consumed by the
product. In Matrix Server 3.6, a new tunable GcTrimMax has
been added that caps the maximum number of FCBs that the
product will cache (the default is 10,000). With the new settings,
the defaults should be suitable for all but the most unusual
workloads. PolyServe advises customers to remove any custom
setting of GcTrimLevel when upgrading to Matrix Server 3.6.
