The HP PolySer ve Management Pack integrates with Microsoft System Center Operations
Manager 2007. T
he Manag ement Pack reports state information a nd any outstanding
Alert m essages for HP PolyServe objects. The monitored HP PolyServe o bjects include
clusters and the individual servers and monitors within e ach cluster. HP PolyServe
filesystem attributes are a lso reported but the health of the filesystemsisnot monitored.
This document describes how to import the M anag ement Pack into Operations Manager
2007 and to per
form the necessary configuration to enable the Management Pack
to monitor HP PolyServe objects. It also describes the information rep orted by the
Management Pa ck.
If you need to respond to an Alert m essage, you can start the HP PolyServe Management
Console from Operations Manag er 2007, provided that the stand-alone version of the
console is installed on an O perations Manager 2007 client.
Impor t the Managem ent Pack
The HP PolyServe M anagement Pack is provided in the file PolyServe.Ma-
trixServer.ManagementPack.3.6.mp. You will need to impor t this file into
System Center Operations Manager 2 007.
To b egin, select Administration > M anagement Pac ks on the Operations Manager 2007
console and click Import Managem ent Packs.
Next, locate the PolyServe.MatrixServer.ManagementPack.3.6.mp file on
the “Select M anagement Packs to import” window and click Okay.
