• mxconsole_3.5.1.<xxxx>.<arch>.msi. The Management Console and mx
utility in Microsoft Windows format.
• pmxs-<os>-support-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. Matrix Server support files
for the supported kernels. The RHEL4 Support RPM is typically not
needed during the installation. The SLES9 Support RPM will need to
be installed if you will be building the kernel from source.
• pmxs-quota-tools-3.13-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. Linux quota commands
modified for use on the PSFS filesystem. (This RPM is provided
separately from the distribution.)
•/doc. This directory contains product documentation. Check
MatrixLink for the latest versions of the documentation.
The MxFS-Linux distribution includes these files:
• mxfs-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The MxFS-Linux software.
• mxfs-<os>-support-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. MxFS-Linux support files.
• mxfs-patches-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. MxFS-Linux kernel patches. For
SLES9, this RPM must be installed when you build the kernel. For
RHEL4, this RPM is typically not needed during the installation.
Installation Procedure
Before starting the installation, be sure to review the configuration and
hardware requirements specified in Chapter 1.
Installation Checklist
Matrix Server and MxFS-Linux must be installed on each server in your
matrix. Complete the following steps, which are described in detail
following this checklist.
