Linux. The PolyServe kernels are available on MatrixLink in the following
binary and source formats:
PolyServe also supplies devel packages for these kernels. The devel
packages contain the kernel header files needed to build a kernel module,
such as for third-party MPIO software. Also available are kdb packages,
which enable the kernel debugger and the debuginfo package, which
contains the necessary symbols to debug crash dumps.
SLES9 Support
The following operating systems and SLES9 kernels are supported.
You will need to obtain the appropriate kernel from SuSE.
Contents of the Distribution
The Matrix Server distribution includes these following files:
The Matrix Server distribution contains both 32- and 64-bit versions of the
software. There are directories on the CD media that are clearly named to
reflect this. Each directory contains the following files:
• pmxs-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The Matrix Server software in Red Hat
Package Manager (RPM) format. The RPM also includes drivers for
the supported Host Bus Adapters.
• mxconsole-3.5.1-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The Management Console and mx
utility in RPM format.
kernel-<version>.<arch>.rpm For uniprocessor systems
kernel-largesmp-<version>.<arch>.rpm For multiprocessor systems having
greater than 16 GB of RAM
kernel-smp-<version>.<arch>.rpm For multiprocessor systems
kernel-<version>.src.rpm The kernel sources
