Tested Configuration Limits
The tested configuration limits for Matrix Server and MxFS-Linux are as
follows. These limits will be increased as additional testing takes place.
Theoretically, the tested configuration limits can be exceeded up to the
bounds of the operating system. If you plan to configure your matrix
beyond the tested limits, please contact PolyServe Technical Support for
information about any known configuration issues or concerns.
Matrix Server
Matrix Server has been tested to the following configuration limits:
• 16 servers per matrix for FC fabric configurations; six servers per
matrix for iSCSI configurations.
• 508 LUNs per matrix for FibreChannel fabric configurations. For iSCSI
configurations, the maximum number of connections for the iSCSI
initiator.
• 512 filesystems per matrix.
• 1750 filesystem mounts per matrix.
• 128 virtual hosts per matrix.
• 128 service and/or device monitors per matrix.
• 10 event notifiers per matrix.
• 4 network interface cards per server.
• 4 FibreChannel ports per server.
• 1024 unique paths to disks in the matrix.
MxFS-Linux
MxFS-Linux has been tested to the following configuration limits:
• 128 Virtual NFS Services per matrix.
• 64 Export Groups per matrix.
• 1024 export records per Export Group.
• 512 PSFS filesystems exported via NFS per matrix.
