The /tmp directory is used to hold files temporarily while mxcollect is
running. The final output from mxcollect is created in the directory from
which you run mxcollect. In this example, we will run the utility from the
/tmp directory.
[root@venus1 /]# cd /tmp
[root@venus1 tmp]# /opt/polyserve/tools/mxcollect
This utility should only be run from a server with PolyServe Matrix
Server installed.
Collecting configuration data
mxcollect uses ssh to connect to each node in the matrix. As a result, you
will be prompted for the root password on each node and for the login
information for your FibreChannel switch. Following is an example.
Executing log collection on server: 99.12.4.21
root@99.12.4.21's password:

Checking for installed PolyServe packages
PolyServe Matrix Server is installed

Please contact PolyServe support for upload assistance.
The resulting file, mxcollect_<date>_<time>.tgz, contains information for all
nodes in the cluster. The file is located in the directory where you
executed mxcollect.
