Available Servers/Selected Servers. The type of the device monitor
affects whether the monitor should be configured on one or multiple
servers.
• Typically a
DISK device monitor is configured on one server.
•For
SHARED_FILESYSTEM monitors, you should select the servers that
mount the monitored filesystem and are running the applications that
access data from that filesystem.
• Depending on their purpose,
CUSTOM monitors can be configured on
one or more servers.
Use the arrows to move the appropriate server or servers from the
“Available Servers” column to the “Selected Servers” column. For a
Single-Active or Single-Always-Active monitor configured on multiple
servers, use the Up and Down buttons to order the servers. The first
server in the list is the primary server and the remaining servers are
backups.
To specify servers from the command line, use this option:
--servers <server1>,<server2>,...
To specify the Probe Type for a custom monitor, use this option:
--probe single|active|multiple
To specify the Activity Type, use this option:
--activity single|multiple
