Service Monitors and Failover
If a monitored service fails, Matrix Server attempts to relocate any virtual
hosts associated with the service monitor to a network interface on a
healthier server. However, if there are multiple failures in the matrix or
the virtual host does not have a backup network interface on another
server, Matrix Server may not be able to move the virtual host. The virtual
host may then remain active on a server with a failed monitored service.
Matrix Server will avoid this situation if there is a healthy server
configured and available, but sometimes it may not be possible in a
multiple-failure scenario.

Matrix Server supports the following service monitors. When configuring
a monitor, you will need to supply the following information.
