Contents of the 3.4.3 Release

Matrix DataBase Solution Pack for SQL Server™ (MxDB for SQL Server)

version 3.4.3 provides support for installing SQL Server 2005 SP2. The

release also fixes the following problems:

• Defect 14896. A duplicate IP address was added when MxDB for SQL

Server restored the original or virtual registry.

• Defect 14900. The MxDB for SQL Server installer failed and generated

the following log message:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup

Failed to set registry settings for server network libraries. The

action is SetShilohRoot. The error is 2 (The system cannot find

the file specified.)

• Defect 15797. MxDB for SQL Server used 15 seconds as the probe

timeout for a Virtual SQL Instance monitor instead of using the

configured probe timeout value. (The probe configuration settings are

now used and the defaults have been increased to 15 seconds for the

timeout and 20 seconds for the frequency.)

• Defect 15857. A SQL Server 2005 instance might fail to uninstall if it

had been virtualized and re-hosted under MxDB for SQL Server.

• Defect 15916. A SQL Server 2005 default instance could not be

virtualized.

• Defect 16037. When MxDB for SQL Server bugfix 15857 was installed,

the MxDB for SQL Server options did not appear on the PolyServe

Management Console.
