A new volume cannot include subdevices having partition
numbers above 31. Existing volumes cannot be extended to include
the higher-numbered partitions.
You will not be able to take a hardware snapshot of partitions with
numbers above 31.
A single Alert will be issued if any disks or volumes in the matrix
contain unsupported partitions. The Alert will remain until the
disks with unsupported partitions are deported.
The sandiskinfo -u utility will continue to show all unimported disks,
even if they have an unsupported number of partitions; however,
these disks cannot be imported.
When you configure a network interface to allow or discourage
administrative traffic, the setting now applies to all interfaces within
the same subnet on all servers of the cluster. Previously, each interface
had to be configured separately.
Start and Stop scripts for service and device monitors. The following
changes have been made:
Paths to scripts can now include spaces. The paths must be
enclosed in double quotation marks.
Custom Start and Stop scripts can now be configured to run in
relation to the starting and stopping activities of the built-in
monitors.
The following changes have been made to the .matrixrc file:
–The .matrixrc file is now created automatically when you configure
bookmarks on the Matrix Server Connect window.
The file is no longer required. If a server does not have a .matrixrc
file, you will be asked for a user name and password when you
connect to that server.
Including passwords in the .matrixrc file is now optional. You can
remove the passwords from your file if desired, or select the
bookmark entry on the Connect window and click Reset.
