Supported Hardware

The following hardware can be used in a Matrix Server matrix.

Servers Two to 16 servers for FC fabric

configurations; two to six servers

for iSCSI configurations.

Network Interface Cards (any card

supported by Microsoft Windows

2003)

Up to four network interfaces per

server.

FibreChannel Host Bus Adapters

One FC port per server can be

connected to the matrix SAN

(four FC ports are supported with

a third-party MPIO driver).

FibreChannel Switches

Two levels of cascading switches.

FibreChannel Storage Subsystems Up to 256 LUNs for FC fabric

configurations; on iSCSI, the

maximum number of connections

for the iSCSI initiator.
