3.4.0 Matrix Server Installation Guide

Install PolyServe Matrix Server

This chapter describes how to perform a new installation of PolyServe

Matrix Server on servers running Microsoft Windows.

Contents of the Matrix Server Distribution

The Matrix Server distribution contains the following files:

• MxS_3.4.0.<xxxx>.msi. The Matrix Server software package. The

software is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Be sure to install the

version that corresponds to your operating system.

• MxConsole_3.4.0.<xxxx>.msi. The Management Console and mx utility

for use on hosts outside the matrix.

• mxcheck.exe. A PolyServe utility that checks the configuration of the

server. This utility should be run before installing Matrix Server. The

mxcheck folder contains tests used by the utility.

•\doc. Contains the following product documentation in PDF format:
