with the other servers as backups. See “Create a Spanning Set of Virtual
NFS Services” on page 17 for more information.
When you have completed your entries on the Add Export Group
window, you can click Apply or OK to create the Export Group, or you
can configure the advanced options as described under “Advanced
Options for Export Groups” on page 22. (The advanced options are for
the high-availability monitor associated with the Export Group.)
When you click Apply or OK, MxFS validates each export record and
reports any syntax errors.
To create an Export Group from the command line, type the following
command:
mx exportgroup add
[
<advanced-options>
][
--exports
<exports_file>
[--vnfs <vnfs1>,<vnfs2>,...] <exportgroup_name>
Create a Spanning Set of Virtual NFS
Services
The “Create a spanning set of Virtual NFS Services” button on the Virtual
NFS Services tab enables you to create multiple Virtual NFS Services with
a single operation and assign them to the Export Group that you are
creating. When you click this button, the dialog “Create a Spanning Set of
Virtual NFS Services” appears and you can configure the Virtual NFS
Services.
When you use this option, a separate Virtual NFS Service will be created
on each available server, with the other servers acting as backups. For
example, three servers named qar62, qar61, and qar64 are available on the
following dialog, and three Virtual NFS Services will be created. Each of
these Virtual NFS Services will be primary on a different server, and the
other servers will act as backups.
