Before installing Matrix Server, you will need to complete these steps:
1. Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 4.
2. Either compile a new kernel from source or install a binary kernel. If
you want to use the kernel patches provided with Matrix Server, you
will need to compile the kernel.
3. Determine whether the HBA driver should be loaded either during
the initial booting of the kernel or when Matrix Server is started.
4. Modify system files.
5. If necessary, run mkinitrd to build a new initrd image containing the
correct driver modules.
6. Reboot the operating system to verify that the kernel is built and
configured correctly.
