Release
Matrix Server 3.1.2 includes the following new features:
A configurable Global Event Delay for device monitors. The delay can
minimize unwanted failover/failback operations that can occur when
a monitor becomes active after it has been down on all servers.
•New mx server markdown command that can be used to tell Matrix
Server that a server is down and does not need to be fenced.
Support for SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 with Service Pack 3 and
the 2.6.5-7.252 kernel.
Support for the Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager (HDLM) v5.71 MPIO
solution.
Support for IMPI version 2.0.
The release also includes fixes for the following problems:
Defect 9562. Two instances of the /etc/init.d/pmxs script could run at
the same time.
Defect 11226. Disk UIDs were not created correctly in previous
versions of the product. This problem has been corrected and code has
been added to recognize systems with the bad UIDs and automatically
migrate the configuration to the new disk UIDs without manual
intervention.
Defect 12355. The Matrix Server distributed lock manager could crash
during product startup if the node network address was unavailable.
