14200 Emulex driver is incompatible with certain kernel versions

The Emulex driver provided with Matrix Server 3.1.2 is

incompatible with Red Hat kernel versions later than 2.6.9-22

running on the RHEL4 operating system.

Workaround. Download the Emulex 8.0.16.27 driver from the

Emulex Web site and then install and configure it as described

in the MatrixLink Knowledge Base article “Emulex Driver Does

Not Load on RHEL4.”

Description

307 Problem with running the Management Console remotely

If you run the Management Console with your display set to a

remote X host, the Management Console may not display

properly the first time you run it. You will need to exit the

Management Console and then reset it to correct the display.

Instead of accessing the Management Console in this manner,

we recommend that you install the Management Console and

run it locally. The Management Console is available for both

Linux and Windows systems.

455 Parent dentries are not revalidated

During path lookups, the operating system does not revalidate

parent dentries when they are specified as ʺ..ʺ components. The

operating system assumes that the parent dentry associated

with ʺ..ʺ is always valid; however, this is not always the case in a

distributed environment.
