NOTE: For improved performance, the Management Console caches
hostname lookups. If your DNS changes, you may need to restart
the console so that it will reflect the new hostname.
To add or update a server from the command line, use this command:
mx server add|update [--serverSeverity=autorecover|
noautorecover] <server> ...
Other Server Configuration Procedures
Move a Server
If you move a server from one FibreChannel switch port to another, you
will need to enable the servers new port on the switch before starting
Matrix Server on the server.
Delete a Server
Select the server to be deleted from the Servers window on the
Management Console, right-click, and select Delete.
To delete servers from the command line, use this command:
mx server delete <server> ...
Disable a Server
Select the server to be disabled from the Servers window on the
Management Console, right-click, and select Disable. When you disable
a server, any active virtual hosts and device monitors on the server will
become inactive. Those virtual hosts and device monitors will then fail
over to a backup server, if one is available.
Virtual NFS Services and Export Group high availability monitors on the
disabled server are affected in the same manner as virtual hosts and
device monitors.
