Data Protector Express
Workaround
Use the following procedure to re-install Data Protector Express and create an
ASMbackup user
account. Install Data Protector Express as follows:
1. Double-click t
he file C:\ h pnas\Components\DPX\BB116-10514-D PX-V3.10-
SP4-25352-WI
N-ALL-WEB.EXE
2. When the Data P
rotector Express installation program opens, click the Install
icon.
3. When prompte
d, accept the default installation location of C:\Program
Files\HP.
4. When prompted, select “Create a new Data Protector Express domain”. After
clicking next, you will be prompted for the name of the domain. You may keep
the defaul
t or use any name you like.
5. When asked
foralicensekey,usethekeyfromtheoriginalDataProtector
Express installation. If you no longer have the key, please contact HP support.
You may select the “evaluation key” option to continue until you receive the
permanent key.
6. After the installation completes, run the batch file at C:\hpnas\compo-
nents\DPX\Addasmbackupuser.cmd to create the Data Protector Express user
ASMbackup. This user is required for integration of Data Protector Express
with All-in-O ne Storage Manager.
Issue:
Data Protector Express fails to start with "Ser vice not found" error
Description
When attempting to start Data Protector Express, the following error is displayed.
Code: 59 (0x3b)
Message: Service not found
Description: The d esired ser vice was not found. Either the service is no longer
active, or the machine providing the service is unavailable at this time.
Workaround
Check the dpconfig.ini file at C:\Program Files\HP\Data Protector
Express\config.Thefile should have a [configuration] section similar to the
following. In particular, the isDatabaseServer setting should be Yes. Other
entries may vary depending on your configuration.

Issue:
Disaster Recovery feature of Data Protector Express is not licensed
Description
When using the Disaster Recovery Wizard in Data Protector Express to create
boot
able media, the following error is displayed:

: 131 (0x83)
Mess
age: Instance is not licensed.
Description: The selected instance is not licensed for use.
Workaround
Data Protector Express disaster recovery is an optional feature that is not included
with the All-in-One Storage Systems as shipped.
