Workaround
Change the privileges as follows:
1. Navigate to the System Volume Information folder in the restored data.
2. Right-click the folder and select Properties.
3. On the Security tab, add the Administrators group and select Full Control for
its permissions.
The folder can now be deleted by an administrator. Repeat this process for any
other folders that are inaccessible by administrators.

Description
After All-i
n-One Storage Manager (ASM) creates a volume on an application
server, as part of hosting application storage, the volume’s name cannot be
changed. I
f the volume’s name is changed, ASM will report a discovery failure.
Workaround Change the volume’s nam e back to the name assigned by ASM.

Description
All-in-One Storage Manager snapshots and backup will backup all data
les and logs for a pa rticular SQL Server database. The backup is a
point-in-time backup, therefore recovery of data can only be done using
a Simple Recovery model. Roll forward after a restore is not supported.

Description
While using the Host a SQL Server Database Wizard, you receive an error
message informing you th at ASM cannot authenticate with the SQL Server.
EachSQLServerinstancemusthavealoginforthelocalusercalledASMUser
with the server role dened as System Administrators. This login is created during
the installation of the ASM agent on the server that hosts SQL Server; however,
if another SQL Server instance is installed after the ASM agent is installed, or
if the SQL Server instance was not running at install t ime, this login will not be
congured.
Workaround
To add a login for a local user called ASMUser to the SQL Server instance, you
can remove the ASM agent from the server that hosts SQL Server, and then
reinstall it following the instructions in the HP StorageWorks All-in-One Storage
System quick star t instructions (no information will be lost). Or, manually enter the
login as follows:
1. Open SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
2. Connect to the ser ver with SQL Server data you want to store on your H P
All-in-One Storage System.
3. Select the Security Folder.
4. Select Logins.
5. Select Actions > New Login from the menu bar.
6. In the Name box, enter ASMUser.
7. IntheDomainbox,enterthedomainnamefortheserverthathostsSQL
Server.
8. Select the Server Roles tab.
9. Select the System Administrators server role and click OK.
