Prerequisites

Prerequisites for installing these patches include:

• HP Storage Essentials Storage Resource Management (SRM) software version 5.0.1 or 5.1

• Oracle 9.2.0.8

You can also install the patches described in this document in an environment where HP Storage Essentials

SRM is accessed from the user interface in HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM).

NOTE:

Previous Oracle CPUs are not r equired. If you have a previous CPU installed , you can still install the July

2008 CPU as described in this guide.

NOTE:

Throughout this document the term “integrated environment” or “integrated version of HP Storage Essentials

SRM” is used to refer to when HP Storage Essentials SRM can be accessed from the user interface in HP

Systems Insight Manager (SIM) and both HP SIM and HP Storage Essentials SRM are sharing data.
