1 Applying the Oracle April 2008 Critical Patch Update Each quarter Oracle issues a critical patch. These instructions are for installing Oracle Patch 21, which includes the Oracle April 2008 critical patch update and some additional software fixes. IMPORTANT: • HP Storage Essentials SRM is unavailable when installing the Oracle April 2008 CPU. Plan a non-peak time to implement these steps. • The installation of the Oracle April 2008 patch fails on Windows servers when the user name is root.
