3. Press your pointer again, and then drag the border to resize the chart to the width you
want.
4. To modify the height of the chart, place your pointer on the bottom border.
5. When your pointer turns to a double-arrow, press your pointer again and then drag the
border to resize the chart to the height you want.
Resizing a chart by specifying a measurement
To resize a chart by specifying a measurement:
1. Right-click the chart and click Edit Format.
2. Open the Display property group on the Properties tab.
3. Type the chart width in the Width property and the height in the Height property.
Inserting and formatting titles for charts
If wished, you can add a title to a chart. You can then format the text, background, and
borders of the chart title.
Inserting and formatting a chart title
To insert and format a chart title:
1. Right-click the chart and click Edit Format.
2.
Open the Title > Text format property group on the Properties tab.
3. Click ... next to Text Format to open the Text Format dialog box.
4. Select the font in the Font list.
5. Select the font style in the Font style list.
6. Select the font size in the Size list.
7. Select the font color by clicking the Font color list and choosing a color from the palette,
or clicking More Colors on the palette and creating a custom color using the Choose
a Color dialog box. (For more information on creating custom colors, see ”Creating
custom colors for chart elements” on page 197.)
8. Select the horizontal and vertical alignment of the text by clicking the approriate
Horizontal and Vertical alignment buttons.
9. Select Underline to set the text style to underline.
10.Select Strikethrough to set the text style to strikethrough.
11.Select Wrap Text to wrap the text.
NOTE: You can set many of the properties in the Text Format dialog box directly
from the property list, where they appear beneath Text Format.
12.Select the background color by clicking the arrow next to the background color
property and selecting the color from the palette or clicking More Colors on the palette
and creating a custom color using the Choose a Color dialog box. (For more
