HP H-series SN6000 and 8/20q Fibre Channel Switch Release Notes
• QuickTools does not recognize devices with EUI-64 Mapped WWNs (those starting with
0xc-0xf), which prevents nicknames from being assigned.
• SNMP walk on fabric switches takes a long time due to pending link deregistration requests.
• Duplicate Port WWN Alarms are seen if two devices with the same port name are present at
the same time.
• A QLogic QLE2562 adapter, in a server running Windows Server 2003 in loop mode and
connected to a SN6000 Series switch, produces decode errors and invalid CRCs on the
switch.
• An unnecessary Clearing Denial of Service alarm message is displayed when deactivating a
zone set.
• The Call Home service does not place brackets (< >) around the sender address, and the Call
home SMTP dialog is not in compliance with RFC 5321. This is resolved as follows:
◦ Removed spaces after the colon (:) in MAIL FROM: command
◦ Removed spaces after the colon (:) in RCPT TO: command
◦ Added angle brackets around e-mail address arguments to the MAIL FROM: and RCPT
TO: commands.
• If a frame containing an invalid VID is used to create an FC-2 session, frames sent on that
session are not found when trying to match an ACK to that frame. This is resolved by
reinitializing the invalid VID to the default VID.
• The switch might experience a firmware error (blink2) immediately after creating a support
file.
• A SW_RSCN which require more than 1 frame might have wrong RX_ID assignment on second
frame.
• SNMP management information base (MIB) QLOGIC-PRODUCTS-MIB.mib load failes due to
a wrong definition.
• The QuickTools digital signature expired.
• Setting up new RADIUS server configuration might terminate the switch util application
unexpectedly if configuration file creation encounters a failure. This is avoided by enhanced
error checking.
• Executing an FC ping test might fail for FC NPIV devices when ping is initiated from a remote
switch.
• GUI management interfaces (QuickTools and qswlib) might display old device information.
This occurs if the nameserver is updating from another remote switch while it is in process of
updating.
• When a device is in a zone which belongs to the active zoneset and a staged zoneset, but
is not in any zone common to both zonesets, hardware enforced zoning might not update
correctly when the staged zoneset is activated. This could also occur when the device is in a
zone common to the active and staged zoneset, but no other device in that zone is logged
in.
