removed from the HP PSP Linux version 8.40, SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10 only. Baseline
support is available in version 8.30.
o Removed the following drivers from the HP PSP Linux version 8.40, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.

• Included the following updates to HP Smart Update Manager:
o Added the ability to deploy native Linux RPMs.Support for downloading RPMs directly from the HP
website (http://www.hp.com) is scheduled to be in a future release.
o Added the following command line parameters:
— /firmware_report generates a report listing the firmware installed on and details of the
target.
— /On_failed_dependency provides HP Smart Update Manager the information on how to
proceed when a component has a failed dependency.
o Provided all reports in XML format as well as HTML format.
o Added component criticality icon to each component listed on the Select Items to be Installed screen.
o Changed the Bundle Select screen to comply with the supported OS layout.
o Added the HP Smart Update Manager User Guide.
• There were no new updates for HP Insight Diagnostics.
SmartStart 8.30
• Support for newly released HP ProLiant ML/DL 300, 500, and 700 Series servers, HP ProLiant BL server
blades, and HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures and options
• Support for newly released server options
• As of SmartStart version 8.30, only baseline support is available for the following servers, and will be
removed from the 8.40 versions of SmartStart and ProLiant Support Packs:
o HP ProLiant DL320 G3 Server
o HP ProLiant DL360 G4 Server
o HP ProLiant ML310 G2 Server
o HP ProLiant ML310 G3 Server
o HP ProLiant ML310 G4 Server
