Description
HP StorageWorks SmartStart EVA Storage is an application that helps you install software programs
and drivers and configure an HP StorageWorks 4400 Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA4400) storage
system. HP StorageWorks Command View 8.0.1 is included in HP SmartStart EVA Storage 2.1. These
release notes contain information specific to HP SmartStart EVA Storage 2.1.

http://www.hp.com/support/downloads. Under Storage, click Storage Software, and then under
Storage Device Management Software, click HP StorageWorks Command View EVA Software. Select
the 8.0.1 media kit, and then select your operating system.
Enhancements
This release includes support for:
• 8 Gb host bus adapters (HBAs) and switches
• HP Virtual Disk Service (VDS) Hardware Provider
• Microsoft HBA application program interface (API) configuration
Fixes
The following fixes have been implemented in version 2.1:
• HP SmartStart EVA Storage now supports Windows domain controllers.
• The proper versions of all HBAs are installed when you run HP SmartStart EVA Storage.
Product models
HP SmartStart EVA Storage is supported on EVA4400 storage systems.
Operating systems
HP SmartStart EVA Storage 2.1 is supported on Windows 2003 and Windows 2008.
