software, and driver levels to develop an appropriate management strategy:
• HP BladeSystem Firmware and Driver Gap Analysis
• HP BladeSystem Firmware and Driver Update Process Review
Gap analysis and process review
The driver gap analysis is a fee-based service that provides a thorough onsite and remote review
of your current and recommended firmware and drivers, including analysis of risks and
interdependencies.
The update process review service provides an onsite workshop to review your current approach
to firmware maintenance and analyze your business needs. A tailored firmware strategy is created
to align business requirements with firmware maintenance practices, including best practices and
a recommendations report, the review process then fine tunes these recommendations for your
environment. For more information, see the HP Proactive Select Services website at http://

4. Launch HP SUM from one of the directories, and add the other directory to the Source Selections
(HP SUM 5.x) or Baseline Library (HP SUM 6.x) screen.
NOTE: The SPP and HP Integrity bundles include a copy of HP SUM. You can download
the latest version of HP SUM from the HP SUM website at http://www.hp.com/go/hpsum. If
you use HP SUM 6.x, you need to add both directories to the Baseline Library screen.
5. Perform your updates. Be sure you do not update the OA or VC to a version not listed in the
