Announcements
The HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions includes the HP Serviceguard
Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard (ODG Toolkit) and the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for DB2 High
Availability Disaster Recovery (DB2 HADR Toolkit).
NOTE: The product name used for the depot is “Serviceguard Disaster Recovery Toolkits for
Databases”. However, the product name was changed to “HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database
Replication Solutions” to match the functionality delivered.
The ODG toolkit was bundled as a separate product, and was known as the HP Serviceguard
Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard. From September 2011 onwards for HP-UX 11i v3, ODG toolkit is
bundled in HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions along with DB2 HADR
toolkit.
From web release July 2011 onwards for HP-UX 11i v2, ODG toolkit is bundled in HP Serviceguard
Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions.
• The current information on patches and known problems, is also available on the
Hewlett-Packard Support center http://www.hp.com/go/hpsc.
• HP Serviceguard Toolkit For Oracle Data Guard (T2259AA): As of the March 2011 release,
this product has been removed from all the HP-UX Operating Environments (OEs).
• The HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions requires prerequisite toolkits
found in the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit product, which is purchased separately.
The HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions is available in the following ways:
• For HP-UX 11i v2: Web Release, July 2011
• For HP-UX 11i v3: Application Release (AR), September 2011 or later

The HP Serviceguard Toolkits for Database Replication Solutions requires the installation of supported
versions of the HP-UX operating system together with HP Serviceguard.
