Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Compatibility
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard requires the installation of supported versions
of the HP-UX operating system together with HP Serviceguard.
The following are compatible versions of HP-UX OS and HP Serviceguard for this toolkit:
• HP Serviceguard version A.11.19 for HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3
• HP Serviceguard version A.11.20 for HP-UX 11i v3
This toolkit is compatible with Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit version B.06.00.
Installation
You must install the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard on all nodes in the cluster
using one of the following methods:
• Install as an independent product.
Run the swinstall to select the following toolkit product number:
◦ T2259AA on HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3
After installing this toolkit, run the swlist command to determine if the toolkit installation is
successful. If the toolkit is installed, you will see the following output:

After installing, you must set up this toolkit in your environment. For information on setting up the
toolkit, see the README file that is available in the /opt/cmcluster/toolkit/dataguard
directory.
Directories Created After Installation
After the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard is installed, a directory, /opt/
cmcluster/toolkit/dataguard is created. This directory includes the toolkit scripts and the
README file. Additional scripts are installed in the /etc/cmcluster/scripts/tkit/
dataguard and /etc/cmcluster/modules/tkit/dataguard directories.
Table 1 lists the files created on installation of HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard.
