Announcements
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard facilitates easy integration of Oracle Data
Guard in a HP Serviceguard cluster for improved high availability and disaster tolerance for Oracle
data. This toolkit consists of scripts used to manage the Oracle Data Guard primary and standby
database instances.
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard is a new product in the HP Serviceguard
product portfolio and is available in the following ways:
• The current information on patches and known problems, is also available on the
Hewlett-Packard IT center http://itrc.hp.com.
• HP Serviceguard Toolkit For Oracle Data Guard (T2259AA): As of the March 2011 release,
this product has been removed from all the OEs. It was added to the September 2010 OEs

NOTE: This toolkit needs Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit as a prerequisite.
What’s in this Version
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard includes:

A.11.19 on HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3◦
◦ A.11.20 on HP-UX 11i v3
• Support for modular packages.
• Support for Single instance Oracle Database.
• Support for Oracle 10gR2, 11gR1, and 11gR2.
NOTE: At the time of publication, version B.01.00 of the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle
Data Guard supports the listed versions of HP Serviceguard and HP-UX. For more recent versions
of these products that are certified with this version, see the compatibility matrix available at:

The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard offers:
• Support for Oracle single instance 11gR2
• Support for Oracle 11gR1 RAC.

• Support for Serviceguard Storage Management Suite A.03.01.00 with Oracle RAC 11gR1
and 11gR2.
• Support Cluster Verification feature on HP-UX 11iv3.
