Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit Release Notes, April 2011 (5900-1489)
NOTE: The content of this README has been moved to HP Serviceguard Enterprise Cluster
Master Toolkit User Guide" (published April 2011 or later). See the www.hp.com/go/
hpux-serviceguard-docs ->HP Serviceguard Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit.
• A standard interface script (toolkit.sh) that links the toolkit to the Serviceguard package
control script.
• A configuration file for each toolkit that contains parameters you can use to customize the
toolkit for your specific environment.
• A main script that controls the process flow of the toolkit.
• A monitor script that ensures the application is running while the package is up.
NOTE:
• In addition to these files, the toolkit also contains some helper scripts that are internally used
by the main script or the monitor script.
• The interface script toolkit.sh, configuration file, main script and monitor script are not
present in the Sybase toolkit.
The Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit structure also contains the following files that are used only
for modular packages:
• An application module that contains an attribute for every parameter in the configuration file.
It also has an additional attribute TKIT_DIR, which is analogous to the package directory
in legacy packages.
• A module script that acts as an interface between the Serviceguard Master Control Script and
the Interface Script. (When using Sybase toolkit, the module script is called by the Serviceguard
Master Control Script to start, stop and monitor the application.)
• A toolkit configuration file generator script that is called by the module script by cmapplyconf
to generate the configuration file in TKIT_DIR. (The Sybase toolkit does not have a
configuration file, therefore this script is not present).
• A package easy deployment script that is used by Serviceguard Manager for easy deployment
of Oracle packages.
