Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundle. Without the VRTSdbed and ASGV components, the Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) stack cannot be started and an attempt to start the Cluster File System (CFS) package on all nodes will cause a panic.
What’s on the Supplemental Media? The Supplement Media for the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.00 includes: • SGSMSupp - this is a "dummy bundle" tag, it does not get installed • VRTSdbcom,r=5.0.00.01-GA,a=HPUX_B.11.23_IA/PA,v=HP - Veritas Storage Foundation for DB Common Utilities • VRTSdbms3,r=3.0.130.0,a=HPUX_B.11.23_IA/PA,v=HP - Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle DBMS3 NOTE: This software can also be downloaded from the HP Software Depot at: www.hp.
Installing Supplemental Software If you have already installed one of the following bundles from the July 2007 Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version 2.0 media on any node, follow all of the steps provided below. • • • • T2776CA T2777CA T2796CA T2797CA If you have not installed any of these bundles, skip step 1 and follow the instructions starting with step 2 below. 1.
For example: A) swcopy -x enforce_dependencies=false -ds <5.0/v2_july2007_media> @ B) swcopy -x enforce_dependencies=false -ds <5.0/v2_supplemental_media> VRTSdbcom VRTSdbms3 @ Note: A swcopy of SGSMSupp (dummy bundle) is not required in step B. The dummy bundle was created only to deliver the VRTSdbcom and VRTSdbms3 packages on the supplemental media. Note: If a network depot is not desired skip steps 2 and 3 and continue, starting with step 4. 3.

If you do not want to use a network depot as described in steps 2 and 3 above, the contents of the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Supplemental Media (or a download of the same) must be installed before you install a Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundle from the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.00 July 2007 media, as follows: A) swinstall –x autoreboot=true –s <5.0/v2_supplemental_media> VRTSdbcom VRTSdbms3 B) swinstall –x autoreboot=true –s <5.
