NOTE: The T8684CB, T8685CB, T8686CB, and T8687CB bundles include the HAOE on a separate
DVD, and the T8694CB, T8695CB, T8696CB and T8697CB bundles include the DCOE on a separate
DVD. These SG SMS operating environment bundles offer cost savings over purchasing and
installing a SG SMS bundle (T277xCB) and an HP-UX operating environment separately. Licensing
fees for products that are included in both the SG SMS (T277xCB) bundle and the HP-UX operating
environment are avoided when the T868xCB or T869xCB bundles are purchased. See “HP-UX
Operating Environment Upgrade Limitations” (page 36) for additional information.
These HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite product bundles are shipped on independent
media. They are not included on the March 2008 HP-UX Application Release media.
An e-delivery option for the SG SMS bundles that do not include an HP-UX operating environment
is planned. For more information on e-delivery of SG SMS bundles, contact your HP
representative.
Due to the complexity of configuring clusters, you may wish to use Hewlett-Packard’s high
availability consulting services to ensure a smooth installation and rollout. Please contact your
HP representative to inquire about high availability consulting. In addition, you should work
with your HP representative to ensure that you have the correct firmware revisions for disk
drives, disk controllers, LAN controllers, and other hardware.

Notes and any other related Installation Guides, Release Notes, Read Before Installing Guides,
or READMEs before beginning an installation. Requirements and known issues for individual
products included in the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles are documented

What’s New with the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version
A.02.00 for HP-UX 11i v3
This is the first HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite (SG SMS) release that supports
Veritas™ Storage Foundation 5.0, Veritas™ Storage Foundation for Oracle, and Veritas™ Storage
Foundation Cluster File System on HP-UX 11i v3. See “What’s Included in the HP Storage
Management Suite Version A.02.00 for HP-UX 11i v3” (page 16), for details on the content of
the SG SMS bundles.
