The HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles integrate HP Serviceguard with

Symantec’s Veritas Storage Foundation. This combination provides powerful database and

storage management capabilities while maintaining the mission-critical reliability HP Serviceguard

customers have come to expect. Veritas Storage Foundation combines the industry-leading

Veritas Volume Manager™ (VxVM) and Veritas File System™ (VxFS) to provide a complete tool

for online storage management. With Veritas Storage Foundation, physical disks can be grouped

into logical volumes to improve disk utilization and eliminate storage-related downtime. In

addition, Veritas Storage Foundation can distribute I/O loads across multiple paths to improve

performance and move unimportant or out-of-date files to inexpensive storage media. Customers

running an Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environment benefit from enhanced database

performance and file system management when utilizing Oracle Disk Manager and Veritas

Cluster File System (CFS) technologies.

As integrated solutions, the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles have product

options to be supported directly by HP providing a single point of contact for all contents of the

bundle.

HP Serviceguard version A.11.18, with Storage Management Suite bundles version A.02.00 is:

• Integrated with Veritas version 5.0 product.

• Available on the HP-UX 11i v2 operating system. Requires a minimum HP-UX version no

older than September 2006.

• Runs on HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers.
