• What is the workaround? Place all Oracle single instances in
Serviceguard packages when deploying these bundles. In addition,
single instance Oracle packages using VxFS and VxVM must have a
direct dependency on the system multi-node package SG-CFS-pkg.
Oracle Data Manager (ODM) with VxFS and LVM
• What is the limitation? ODM for VxFS file systems on LVM volumes
is not supported.
• What is the workaround? Oracle Files that need ODM capability
should reside on a VxFS file system created on a VxVM/CVM
volume.
JAGaf80544 (SR8606420715) Dependent or MNP package does
not start after dependee package starts
• What is the problem? On rare occasions a failover package with
dependencies may not failover to a new node or a multi-node package
instance may not start on a node when the package that it depends
on starts on that node thus satisfying the dependency. For example,
this may happen when you run the cmruncl or cmrunnode
commands that causes a package to start but the dependent package
may not start.
• What is the workaround? This is very rare and the work around is to
use the cmrunpkg command to start the dependent package on the
desired node.
