NOTE: The T8684DB, T8685DB, T8686DB, and T8687DB bundles include the HAOE on a
separate DVD, and the T8694DB, T8695DB, T8696DB, and T8697DB bundles include the DCOE
on a separate DVD. These SG SMS operating environment bundles offer cost savings over
purchasing and installing a SG SMS bundle (T277xDB) and an HP-UX operating environment
separately. Licensing fees for products that are included in both the SG SMS (T277xDB) bundle
and the HP-UX operating environment are avoided when the T868xDB or T869xDB bundles are
purchased. See “HP-UX Operating Environment Upgrade Limitations” (page 44) for additional
information.
These HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite product bundles are shipped on independent
media. They are not included on the HP-UX Application Release media.
Due to the complexity of configuring clusters, you may wish to use Hewlett-Packard’s high availability
consulting services to ensure a smooth installation and rollout. Please contact your HP representative
to inquire about high availability consulting. In addition, you should work with your HP representative
to ensure that you have the correct firmware revisions for disk drives, disk controllers, LAN
controllers, and other hardware.
NOTE: HP recommends that you read these HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Release
Notes and any other related Installation Guides, Release Notes, Read Before Installing Guides, or
READMEs before beginning an installation. Requirements and known issues for individual products
included in the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles are documented in their
respective Release Notes. See “Documentation for this Version” (page 18) for information on SG
SMS related documentation.
