◦ The vxdg settag command now provides an option for automatic tagging of a site
◦ The vxdg command provides a new renamesite option
• The vxvmconvert command displays the estimated time required for a volume conversion
operation, before the conversion operation is committed.
• The vxsited daemon has been renamed to vxattachd and it now also handles automatic
reattachment and resynchronization for plexes.
• Automatic plex attachment is now available by default - the vxattachd daemon handles
automatic reattachment and resynchronization for plexes, and also reattaches sites.

What’s New with Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System
The following Veritas™ Storage Foundation Cluster File System (CFS) features and enhancements
are supported for HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite version A.03.00 for HP-UX 11i v3
bundles that include CFS:
• Number of parallel fsck threads that run during recovery is tunable. In prior releases the
number of parallel fsck threads that could be active during recovery was set to 4. In this release
the default depends on the number of CPUs in the system, but is tunable within limits.
• Quick I/O, Veritas ODM Quick I/O, and Veritas Extension for Oracle Disk Manager (ODM)
are now enabled by default for Storage Foundation and Storage Foundation Cluster File
System.

What’s New with Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle
The following Veritas™ Storage Foundation for Oracle features and enhancements are supported
with HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite version A.03.00 for HP-UX 11i v3 bundles that
include the Veritas™ Storage Foundation for Oracle:
• Support for Oracle™ 11g Database, including the following new features:
Tiered storage for databases (DBDST) for RAC◦
◦ Support for an Oracle database created on multiple disk groups
◦ Ability to run FlashSnap commands from the CVM slave node
• Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) can now coexist with Oracle Automatic Storage Management
(ASM) disks.
