HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite overview

In addition to the traditional packaging of Serviceguard as a stand-alone product, part of Application

Release (AR), or part of an operating environment (MCOE, HAOE, or DCOE), software bundles are

available through the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite offering. All of these include

Serviceguard, ECMT, a version of Veritas Storage Foundation (Standard, Enterprise, Database, or

CFS), and additional features that provide enhanced storage management and database integration

capabilities. The HP Serviceguard Cluster File System for RAC bundle also includes SGeRAC. Each of

these bundles is designed to provide a comprehensive set of software tools suited to a particular

application environment.

In addition to the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite, Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and

Shared Logical Volume Manager (SLVM) configurations continue to be supported with Serviceguard

in the same cluster and on the same node. However, CFS support is only available by installing one

of the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles T2775xx through T2777xx or their

equivalent operating environment add-on bundles.

Additional software in some of the bundles includes enterprise tools, such as Dynamic Storage Tiering

(DST), FlashSnap, Checkpoints, and additional Database Tools, including Oracle Disk Manager

(ODM) for Oracle and SGeRAC. The bundle product numbers are as follows:

 T2771xx: HP Serviceguard Storage Management (SGSM)

 T2773xx: HP Serviceguard Storage Management for Oracle (SGSMO)

 T2774xx: HP Serviceguard Storage Management for Oracle Premium (SGSMOP)

 T2775xx: HP Serviceguard Cluster File System (SGCFS)

 T2777xx: HP Serviceguard Cluster File System for RAC (SGCFSRAC)
