Creates a copy of an Oracle database by cloning all existing database files and
recreating the control file accordingly. This cloned database can only be started on the
same host as the existing database as long as it uses a different SID.
dbed_clonedb
You must log in as the database administrator to use the following CLI commands:
• dbed_update
• dbed_ckptcreate
• dbed_clonedb
You can log in as the database administrator (typically, the user ID oracle) or superuser to use the
following CLI commands:
• dbed_ckptdisplay
• dbed_ckptmount
• dbed_ckptumount
• dbed_ckptrollback
• dbed_ckptremove
