Planning and Documenting an HA Cluster
Package Configuration Planning
Chapter 4 191
Details in Chapter 6 under cvm_activation_cmd (see
page 293), and in the package configuration file.
vxvol_cmd Controls the method of mirror recovery for mirrored
VxVM volumes.
vg An LVM volume group that will be activated by the
package.
cvm_dg A CVM disk group used by the package (on systems
that support CVM; see “About Veritas CFS and CVM
from Symantec” on page 29).
vxvm_dg A Veritas VxVM disk group that will be activated by
the package.
NOTE VxVM disk groups do not allow you to select specific
activation commands. The VxVM disk group activation
always uses the same command.
deactivation_retry_count
Specifies how many times the package shutdown script
will repeat an attempt to deactivate a volume group
(LVM) or disk group (VxVM, CVM) before failing. The
default is 0.
kill_processes_accessing_raw_devices
Specifies whether you want the package halt script to
kill the processes that are accessing raw devices (for
example, database applications). If raw devices are still
being accessed at package halt time, volume group or
disk group deactivation can fail, preventing the
package from halting. Valid values are yes and no.
concurrent_fsck_operations
The number of concurrent fsck operations allowed on
file systems being mounted during package startup.
Legal value is any number greater than zero. The
default is 1.
