HP Serviceguard Version A.11.20 Release Notes, February 2014

HP Serviceguard Manager version B.03.30 supports Serviceguard A.11.20 on HP-UX 11i v3. The
following are new capabilities in B.03.30:
• iSCSI storage support with Persistent Reservations
◦ Supporting the configuration, administration, and monitoring of packages with iSCSI
module needed for P4000 storage.
• HP-UX vPars and Integrity Virtual Machines 6.1 support
◦ Certification of HP-UX vPars and Integrity Virtual Machines 6.1 as a Serviceguard Node
using GUI.
• Easy deployment of IBM DB2
◦ Effortlessly deploy the IBM DB2 toolkit packages with minimal user input and automatic
package dependency configuration. For more information, see the white paper Using

• Support for EnterpriseDB Database Toolkit
◦ Support for configuration, administration, and monitoring of EnterpriseDB Database
Toolkit.
• Enhancements to SGeSAP feature
◦ Support in Serviceguard Manager for the new functionality in SGeSAP as listed below:
1. Guided package creation and editing for external SAP application server handling.
2. SGeSAP package alert texts – a set of additional package alert texts to support
SGeSAP monitor state.
3. Added reference to the local readme file along with the online product documentation
in the toolkit configuration page.
• SGeSAP support for Sybase ASE
◦ Support for Sybase ASE as a database in SGeSAP package configuration. Configuration,
administration, and monitoring of the SAP packages which includes the
sgesap/dbinstance module.
• Handling failures during package halt
◦ Users can choose to abort the halting of a package when failures occur in user-defined
modules.
• Online reconfiguration of mount point and disk group packages
◦ Support for online addition, modification, and removal of CFS mount points and CVM
disk groups to modular packages.
• Support for Serviceguard Integrity Virtual Servers Toolkit with modular package
◦ Support for configuration, administration, and monitoring of Serviceguard Integrity Virtual
Servers Toolkit for HP Integrity Virtual Machine and HP vPar.
Features Not Supported
HP Serviceguard Manger version B.03.60 and later (September 2013 patch - SG A.11.20
patch PHSS_43495) does not support the load sensitive package failover.
