What You Can Do
Depending on your SMH and Serviceguard security privileges, you can do the following:
• Monitor, create, modify, run, and halt a cluster.
• Monitor, run, and halt nodes.
• Create and modify failover and multi-node packages, including configuring package
dependencies. You can also modify Auto Run and Node Switching settings.
• Monitor, run, halt, and move failover, multi-node, and system multi-node packages.
New Features
HP Serviceguard Manager version B.03.20 supports Serviceguard A.11.20 on HP-UX 11i v3. The
following are new capabilities in B.03.20:
• Package Easy Deployment of SGeSAP package(s)
◦ Effortlessly deploy the SGeSAP modular packages with minimal user input and automatic
package dependency configuration. For more information, see the white paper Using
Easy Deployment in Serviceguard and Metrocluster environments at http://www.hp.com/

• Support for Serviceguard Toolkit for Database Replication Solutions Version B.02.00 and the
August 2011 patch (PHSS_42277) or later and Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit version B.06.00
◦ Support for configuration, administration, and monitoring of modular packages with the
DB2 HADR Toolkit and ECMT/DB2 Toolkit.
• Support for new data replication Metrocluster package(s)
◦ Support for configuration, administration, and monitoring of Metrocluster 3PAR Remote
Copy modular packages.
• Support for Generic Resources in a Package
◦ Support for configuration, administration, and monitoring of modular packages with the
Generic Resource module available in Serviceguard A.11.20 August 2011 patch
(PHSS_42137) or later.
• Support for additional functionality added to the SGeSAP packages in the August 2011 SGeSAP
patch (PHSS_42151) and later
◦ Support in Serviceguard Manager for the new functionality in SGeSAP as listed below:
1. sapwebdisp component in sgesap/sapinfra module page.
2. Parallel Startup field in sgesap/sap_global module page for SAP Instances,
SAP Infrastructure Components and External SAP Instances.
3. Auto discovered services from SAP SystemId.
Current Limitations of Serviceguard Manager
You can only monitor a Continentalcluster, but cannot configure or administer it.
