Mixed Clusters
“Mixed cluster” has several meanings in the context of Serviceguard. The following are support
statements for various types of mixed cluster.
Mixed Serviceguard Versions
You cannot mix Serviceguard versions in the same cluster; all nodes must be running the same
version of Serviceguard.
The sole exception to this rule is a rolling upgrade, during which Serviceguard versions can be
mixed temporarily, but no cluster configuration changes are allowed. See “Upgrading from an
Earlier Serviceguard Release (page 43) , and Appendix D of Managing Serviceguard, at the
address given under “Documents for This Version (page 34).
