HP Serviceguard Manager version B.02.00 supports Serviceguard A.11.19 on HP-UX
11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 (as well as Linux Red Hat RHEL 5.2 and SUSE SLES 10 and
11). The following are new capabilities in B.02.00:
• Enhanced cluster monitoring:
— Summarize package status iconically with drill-down to specific problem
descriptions
— Identify packages that cannot failover
— Identify whether nodes and packages are halted or failed
— Identify package type (e.g. failover, multi-node system multi-node, Serviceguard
Extension for RAC)
— Identify Serviceguard nodes that are VMware guests
— Identify Serviceguard nodes that are Integrity VM hosts or guests
• Detect Serviceguard Extension for SAP
• Configuration enhancements
— Modular package configuration wizard
— Enhanced package dependencies configuration
— Improved cluster and package configuration validation
— Tooltips for cluster and package configuration parameters
— Cluster configuration wizard
— Support for cross-subnet configurations. See “About Cross-Subnet
Configurations” (page 41).
— Advanced cluster configuration options
• Ease-of-use improvements:
— Preview Administration operations (e.g. simulate an administration operation
such as “Halt Node”)
— Display Serviceguard patch version
— Context sensitive links to Partition Manager
◦ Partition Manager is a free HP tool to configure and manage nPartitions
on HP server systems. If Partition Manager is not installed, a pop-up window
displays HTTP 404 – File not found. Partition Manager is a free
product that is included in the Operating Environment bundle on the HP-UX
distribution media. It also is included on the HP Integrity Essentials
Foundation Pack for Linux Management CD. Partition Manager must be
installed before you can launch it in Serviceguard Manager.
