HP Serviceguard Version A.11.19 Release Notes, October 2009

The HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.03.00 Release Notes also
contain instructions on adding or deleting a Serviceguard node when the HP
Storage Management Suite is configured; this information was incomplete in
previous documentation.
IMPORTANT: For the most up-to-date information about supported versions, check
the Serviceguard/SGeRAC/SMS/Serviceguard Manager Plug-in Compatibility and Feature
Matrix, at the address given under “Compatibility Information and Installation
Requirements” (page 52).
New and Recent Capabilities
• Serviceguard with Storage Management Suite version A.02.01 or later supports a
maximum of sixteen nodes for CVM and CFS.
• HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.00, and later bundles
that include CFS, support CFS nested mounts, up to a maximum of four levels of
nesting.
This feature is enabled by default; to disable it, add the following line to /etc/
cmcluster.conf:
SGCFS_NESTED_MOUNT_SUPPORT=disabled

New Kinds of Package Dependency
As of Serviceguard A.11.18, you can make a package dependent on any other package
or packages running on the same cluster node, subject to the restrictions spelled out in
Chapter 6 of Managing Serviceguard.
Serviceguard A.11.19 adds two new capabilities: you can specify broadly where the
package depended on must be running, and you can specify that it must be down.
