HP Serviceguard Version A.11.19 Release Notes, October 2009

Serviceguard A.11.19 on HP-UX 11i v3 supports LVM 2.0 volume groups, both for
data and the cluster lock. See About LVM 2.0” (page 46).
Serviceguard now supports cell OL* (online addition and deletion of cells) on HP
Integrity servers that support them).

Serviceguard A.11.19 on HP-UX 11i v3 supports vgchange -T, which allows
multi-threaded activation of volume groups. See About vgchange -T (page 45).
You can use the FSWeb utility to configure LVM volumes in a Serviceguard cluster
(and SLVM volumes if the add-on product Serviceguard Extension for Real
Application Cluster (SGeRAC) is installed).

With the with the patches listed under “October 2009 Patches” (page 11),
Serviceguard supports the following new HP-UX 11i v3 capabilities:
Dynamic Root Disk (DRD); see “Upgrade Using DRD” (page 63).
Target port congestion control; see “New Features for October 2009 Patches”
(page 19).
What’s Not in this Release
RS232 is no longer supported for the cluster heartbeat.
Token Ring and FDDI are no longer supported for the cluster heartbeat and data
networks.
The cmviewcl command no longer supports the -r 11.09 option.
-r 11.12 and -r 11.16 are still supported. See the cmviewcl (1m) manpage
for details
Serviceguard no longer supports versions of Veritas CVM and CFS from Symantec
earlier than 5.0. See “Support for Veritas 5.0 on HP-UX 11i v2 and 5.0/5.0.1 on 11i
v3” (page 24).
